This lock is for commercial uses where ADA compliance is required. The Mortise/ADA Lock is engaged by the user by turning the deadbolt knob 30 degree or key to lock. To retract the lock the user has three options: thumb turn, key, or interior lever.

The Garrison Mortise/ADA Lock is engaged by the user turning the deadbolt knob 1/4 turn to the right. To disengage the lock the user has two options, they can turn the deadbolt knob 1/4 turn to the left, or they can choose to simply press down on (or turn) the doorknob to exit the room. When the deadbolt knob is engaged, a standard deadbolt lock and eight 1/2″ thick, 4.5″ long steel locking bolts launch 1″ into the door frame, keeping the user safe from harm.
